What kind of debate is this? Paul Ryan (R) - who worships at the feet of atheist Ayn Rand, who believes everyone should fend for themselves in the name of "freedom" .... vs. Trump's White (supremacy) Nationalist Steve Bannon (R) who thinks anything Western (read: white) culture does must be in pursuit of suppressing other races, or at least proving them inferior.

What is an enlightened individual to do when right-wing ignoramuses are fighting old ideological wars to prove pissing contest arguments? Maybe if dicks are removed from the equation, we wouldn't have to worry about brute pissing contests?

The Republican anti-Obamacare legislation is sad. Not saying the ACA was great. IMO, it wasn't bold enough in making healthcare universal. But, that's water under the bridge. The plan being proposed by Republicans is as expected - it continues a religious-like faith in markets to give us a blessed solution beyond reproach, even though the market involves individuals often pursuing one of the deadly sins - greed. Does anyone else find it ironic that the supposed (self-appointed) Republican Party of Jesus seems to think people engaged in pursuit of profit are angels? Yet, if those same people are engaged in public service, they can do no right?

Maybe Something Good from Trump?

Maybe some good can actually come from a Trump presidency ... by observing him, but ignoring his ego while we renew American greatness by making our collective goodness obvious again. So obvious, that even xenophobes will once again recognize the goodness of the country, no matter where that goodness comes from ... dark skin, light skin, inspired by a religion, or no religion, etc. We should not let opportunistic politicians separate us when we have more in common with each other than said politicians would have us believe.
